Many banks hold trust specifically for scholarships/education and
many are minority. These are "NEVER" advertised, talked about,
announced or anything. The bank has total control of the trusts
but MUST give amounts to requestees. In some cases the person only
has to fill out a form and a specific amount is given. Others have
to be shown a need. Many banks will sort of stonewall because your
taking away "their" play money. The bank gets to keep interest and
    dividends on many of these.

Have her visit some of the larger banks in person and speak to the
trusts officer and ask if they have any Educational Trust/Grant
monies available. If they have, they're required by law to tell
what's available. They won't lie. If you were from the gov't or
the family checking on a trust and they did, the fine is horrendous.

    Hope this helps.

         Good Old UNH....[Hmmmm]

Have her talk to Charlie Ashley. He is Department
         Head of Education....and a sweety....and can pull
strings if he is approached in the right manner.

He also knows every educator in the state of NH,
personally....he is a font of information. If he
does not know personally where to go, he will know
         who to send you to.

Also....have her touch base with Nance Deane...she
is now head of Human Resources but was Affirmative
Action officer for decades...she would know who/where
/how/when monority $ could be found. AND she is a
big supporter of WOMEN....so make sure your wife
         mentions that....

There is also a WOMEN's COMMISSION on campus. Betty
Roberts [check the last name with Nancy Deane]...they
         have scads of info....

Also, as a point of connection...she can touch base
with Lea Ann Lombar-Jones...head of CREDIT AND
COLLECTIONS. She has no direct connection but she
is female and heavy into women's support and knows
her way around UNH with her eyes shut...she would
         be a good support person.

If you need more...call me or mail me....I was
everything from a clerk to a faculty member there
before I left for the big wide world....

Oh...you can use my name with all these folks...it
won't get you answers...but it *will* get her through
the door....they are friends of mine. Good luck
         to your wife...

         Melinda
