    in this conference?

    I can add a couple of questions to yours...why did you swear
    at me and refuse to answer when I vaxphoned you right now.
    
    why did you harass me last Feb when I first became a moderator
    
    and why after being a guest at Liz's house do you find it
    necessary to attack her tonite...

    I have just been skimming through the 1000+ notes that have been written
    in this notesfile while I was away on vacation, (I have been reading
    648.1, I think it's the right number, as it was moved from 647...), so I
    am willing to admit that Kerry Faulkner's note may refer to something
    I have not yet read, but I would like to understand what it's all
    about:

      Are you saying that a moderator is less of a noter because he/she
      is a moderator? The moderator role is a very thankless one, and
      if is also forbids people to note when they have something to
      say, we'll soon be without conferences at all, for lack of mode-
      rators!

      What question are you referring to? You were, I believe, responding
      to an article whose subject was "Hate Mail". Has that really been
      mentioned so many times in Womannotes? If you are referring to
      something else, could you please specify?

      What in Heavens are you talking about? What is "THIS"? How long
      has it been going on? Are you still referring to Hate Mail? 
    
    I am not throwing gasoline on the fire, I am trying to understand

    I've been assuming that Liz will post until she becomes crushed
    under the weight of incoming notes!  She's probably neglecting to
    pet her cats enough as it is!
    
    I was worried about Maggie for weeks, but it looks like she's still
    alive.  Bonnie must have recruited her family to work in shifts
    on this notesfile.  Holly's still there but not posting as much
    as before, I'm certain.
    
    These poor people have to read all the notes! Ack!  A fate worse
    than meetings!

    Lisa, your concern and thoughtfulness is appreciated.  Yes, I'm
    noting a bit less, and thinking about all the topics (even the ones
    that don't interest me personally a great deal) a lot more.
    
    (But this week I'm on a business trip which always cuts down my noting.)
                             
    I think we would all rather put our energy into helping disseminate
    light rather than perpetually re-deflecting heat!  :-)
