| | If she has transportation she can go to Ayer Confederated Church
on Washington street, Ayer. Every Thursday they give out food vouchures
for Dairy products, juices, eggs, and cereal. Its not alot but
in can help. I think its a 25.00 vouchure. You don't have to apply,
you just go up there if you need it!

I would really like to help in any way I can, if she would like
to call me for directions or something I am at DTN 276-9387.

| | Margaret, this is an interesting topic. Unfortunately, I am in
the same situation as the "young girl" in your office. If you'ld
give her my name and number, maybe we can talk and if nothing else,
I can be supportive to her understanding what she's going through.

Being that I live in a different state then you are located, I can't
give any infor on agency's that help in that area. Unfortunately,
here there are none. But I can certainly understand her situation
and hopefully I can offer, if nothing else, some advice.

There are food pantries and meal services in many towns. I work at one
in Acton, MA, which serves a hot meal, and provides groceries and
clothing to anyone who needs it. It's called Community Supper, and is
open on Wednesday nights, 5:30 until 7pm in the South Acton
    Congregational Church, on School Street.
I'll try to remember to ask tonight what may be available in Peperell
or nearby towns. In any case, she can call the Department of Social
Services, or the Office for Children and ask what's available.
(By the way, as of tonight, I become the publicity director at
Community Supper. If anyone's interested in making donations or
volunteering to do anything at all, contact me. End of public-service
    announcement).

| | I just heard about a group house in Pepperell which is looking for
roommates. The rent is $266/month. I don't know if they are open
to people with children or not, but if she wants me to check on
    it, send me mail.

Have this girl go to E.A.P. it's one of the best programs in the
    industry.
They form no opinions, just help and advice.

Have her give it a shot, got nothing to lose and a lot to gain.

Employee Assistance Program...a short-term-counseling and referral
service that's funded by DEC but has no other relationship to DEC
(i.e., it's _entirely_ confidential). Pretty good people.
