| You might try calling Radcliff College...I believe they have an
Oral History Library, and also have an excellent photo library...what
I don't know is if they lend the stuff out, or who to call.
Sounds like a great idea...let us know how successful it is!

The colleges and women's centers have good resources. The Sophia
Smith collection at Smith College is one of the best collections
in Massachusetts.
What exactly are you looking for? Doesn't sound like you have the
time to do a lot of library research at this date.
Are you looking for speakers, books, panelists, magazines, music,
films, themes, items, art -- or what? Are you asking whether people
in this file are available as resource people for panels?
Charleen Kane at ICO (also in manufacturing, in personnel) put together
a whole week of events for the ICO facility last year. A few of
the films and videos were especially good.
Barbara Walker (manufacturing) and Donna Taylor (engineering) and
Lisa Brown (not sure of her exact link) are all involved with Corporate
Affirmative Action/Valuing Differences/Minority and Women's Issues.
They are all strong, skilled and charismatic leaders who would know
of other resource people and good training materials, and best of
all, they all are employed by DEC. They are very busy, and much
in demand, but well worth contacting.

RE .3 I'm sorry if I was a little vague in my base note. I tend
to get long-winded sometimes, so I was trying to keep it short.
We have a panel of people coming in during the afternoon, and as
much as I would love to invite people in this conference to speak,
we can't accommodate anyone else. The panel includes: Rosalyn
Taylor O'Neal, OD consultant and Valuing Differences manager in
Shrewsbury (tried Barbara Walker and Lisa Brown also but both were
busy); Lou Gaviglia, manager of something-or-other in CSM; Carol
Burke, one of the corporate personnel people; and Mary Couming,
MBU manager for large systems. They will speak on a variety of
topics, with Q&A to follow. So our speakers are pretty well set.
In the past when we have done a cultural awareness day for a group,
besides having speakers, we also try to have a display in the cafe
during lunch to showcase that culture. This showcase is what I
am specifically interested in suggestions for (see what I mean about
being long-winded? I finally answered your question!). There are
people bringing in arts/crafts/music/literature/etc. about women,
but I was interested in any other ideas people have, and also
some leads as to where I can get some other stuff. I have thought
about going to New Words in Cambridge, and I will call Radcliff
and MIT as the others have suggested. Maybe they have something
I can beg/borrow/steal for the day. I am just looking for leads
as to hwat else I can do. As I said, since this is my day, I want
it to be special.

| Sounds like a great project! If you have any kind of a budget,
you will find wonderful materials at New Words Bookstore. Some
of the women's calendars have good items for display, and you get
a calendar you might be able to use after the event!
You panel sounds very interesting, too. Let us know how it goes!

| I have a calender called "In Praise of Women Artists" which has
pictures for each month by women. Many of them come from the National
Museum of Women in the Arts in Wash D.C. The calender is published
by Bio-Tree Productions which gives part of the proceeds to womens
art projects. At any rate all the pictures are nice and would make
for good viewing. Liesl
