| | Verrrrrry nice.

But what's a "mid-size sedan"? Stock car classification?

(and apropos road racing, albeit not North American particularly, I
seem t'remember a woman named Moss....)

| | Buick Somerset (Moise' car), Toronado, Calais, Regal, that sort
of beast; but, they let 'sporty' cars (Camaro, Firebird, T-bird)
run, too. I think the Kelly cars are similar to stockers, but they
have to turn both left and right!

I can't think of a woman racer named Moss - am I missing an easy
one? Any relation to Stirling Moss?

| | "Kelly Girl" changed their name to "Kelly Services" a while
back. You will occasionally seen it written "Kelly Services,"
and then, in smaller type, "the 'Kelly Girl' people."

| | Thinking of role models, how about Bea Arthur of Maude and Golden
Girls fame? Anyone else want to be "just like her"?

Strong (with a vulnerable side), Brave (most of the time), Opinionated
(always), Big-mouthed (always voices her opinions... sounds like
someone I know :)), Loyal and Loving....

    Other role-models?

| | When I was around 10 or so, I saw the movie "Auntie Mame". I decided
then and there to take Mame Dennis as my partron saint and role model.
If you haven't seen the movie, she's strong, elegant, intelligent,
opinionated, somewhat flighty, caring, wonderfully flakey and totally
fascinating. She cared not for conventional morals and opinions.

    Nifty woman.

    Dolly Parton.

She literally worked her way up the ladder.

I agree! Mary Beth Lacey is a wonderful character. She's in the
same situation that a lot of women are in - she works outside of
the home, cares for a family, and tries to be a friend and help
her friends - all within the few hours we're given in day. She has
a good relationship with her husband (not perfect, but they seem
to work together through the differences and problems most of the
time) - a breath of fresh air these days, especially on tv. Mary
Beth is occasionally vulnerable - reality. And she's not "model
perfect" in her appearance. One of my favorite tv shows!! And I
    don't watch tv much...

I can't argue with this. It's my favorite tv show, too.

Dolly *literally* climbed the ladder? Which ladder was that?
    Was it a step-ladder, a fire-engine-ladder, or something in
    between?

(Don't mind me, I just love giving you a hard time.)

| | One of the racers I mentioned in .0, Lyn St. James, has achieved
the ultimate pinnacle of any televised professional sport - she's
now a 'color' commentator. (piles of smiles :-) She does a pretty
good job at that, while still racing quite competitively.
