32.0. "Problem with TCP_ channel and UCX local hosts" by THEBAY::WIEGLEB (Voracious schools of lottery girls) Thu Feb 06 1997 15:13
Just wanted to make people aware of a problem that just burned me on
    the TCP/IP channel.

If you are running the multi-threaded SMTP daemon for the TCP/IP
channel, you must provide a name resolver. You cannot run with just a
    local hosts file.

You can either provide a name resolver reference or move to the UCX
single-threaded SMTP daemon (i.e., move from TCP_ channels to UTCP_
    channels.)

The problem you will see is:

TCP active open: Failed gethostbyname(), resolver errno = 2
    	Status Code = 136.
Unable to connect to host, cannot dequeue.

    Good luck,

    - Dave
