    Hi All:
    
    Regardless of your background, I admire the creativity here so please
    help!!
    
    I have a close friend here whose neice is receiving her 1st Communion.
    My friend has bonded with this young 7 year old and wants to get her
    something real special, interesting, different, and creative as a 
    gift.  Any ideas?

    If the church has a bulletin or program or such for the service, take
    the document and either take it to a store that takes a wedding
    announcement or special document and makes it into a placque or dish or
    some such, or do it yourself by gluing it on a nice piece of wood and
    shellacing over it to preserve the document.  The person then has a
    permanent record of this event and it would be fun to look back and
    remember what else went on within the church on the day of first
    communion.
