        Hi all,

I heard a beautiful contemporary Christian song while in Dallas
the other day, but was unable to contact the radio station to see
who the artist and title were. After coming home (Oklahoma
City), I called the local Christian station and described the
song, but was told that they had not heard of it. I hope to find
someone on this conference that can give me a clue.

The topic of the song was the witness of a Christian man to a
friend that he had not seen in a long time. The main phrase in
the chorus seemed to be "Jesus lives in me". In the first verse,
the "old friend" notices that the Christian man has changed,
allowing the Christian to relate to his friend how he was saved.
In the second verse the friend tells how bad his life has been,
and the Christian tells him how his life can also change in the
same manner. In the third verse the the friend accepts Christ as
his Savior which is represented by him singing the "Jesus lives
in me" chorus (the same artist sings both parts).

This song portrayed some powerful moments in our Christian
        witness.

        Thanks in advance,
        Warren

| 160.1 | Ray Boltz "Alliegance" | TAPE::LKL | His Pain, Your Gain! | Thu Mar 24 1994 07:20 | 26 |

good a topic as any I suppose for this....

Has anyone heard Ray Boltz's latest release... "Alliegance"

My ex-pastor - Lawrence Chewning - wrote a song that Ray has
produced/sung on this album. It is called "The Anchor Holds".

There is an intro instrumental track called The Storm that
has a full orchestra playing and then it moves into Lawrence's
song. "Though the sails are torn, the anchor holds. Though
the ships been battered, the anchor holds." This is an excellent
    song.

I recommend the album. Go check out the demo tape at your local
Christian bookstore and hear for yourself or call your local
Christian radio station and request it.

Ray is know for his moving ballads "Watch the Lamb" & "Thank You"
to name a few. And hopefully, now, for "The Anchor Holds".

Other songs on the album vary is music style. There is an R&Bish
type song called "I Go To the River". There is a kinda countryish
tune called "Bought with the Blood". There is a simple catchy song
called "Set Sail". And the first song to be released as a single
    is "Alliegance".

| Does anyone know the words to the Steven Curtis Chapman song
"Will they see God for who He really is?"? I play guitar and sing. I
can pick up the tune, but I can't remember all the words.

    Thanks,
