| | Reminds me of aspects of love, Collis...
1 Corinthians 13:4
... patient, kind, doesn't envy, doesn't boast, not proud, not rude, not
self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, doesn't
delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth, aways protects, trusts, hopes,
perseveres....
ie, the personality of love is lost in identification with the One Whom it
loves. It is unaware of personal rights, prejudices, wants - or even needs
- because it's focus is on the loved on. Total humility.
it is ONLY CONCERNED with *servanthood*.
Especially when you may consider that the 'servant' may know better than
the loved one what his own needs are.
 - taking the very nature of a servant.... Philippians 2:7

| | I'll give it a shot.

Humility means knowing and accepting as truth where you stand in
relation to God and His will for your life. It is a hefty and sometimes
    painful dose of reality.

The humble person knows that they are dependent upon God and His
loving mercies toward him. He knows how he compares to God's standard
concerning behaviour. Like Isaiah who cried out, "Woe is me. I am
undone," so too does the humble person continually return to the
    awareness of a perfect God.

Unlike a person with a poor self-image, the humble person has a very
accurate understanding of his "self" relates to God. This enables the
person to seek after God's will and desires and allows God to shape and
mold that person to more closer resemble the Person (character) of
    Jesus Christ.

Humility is not the same as humiliation. Humility is knowing how you
compare to God and His standards. Humiliation is a proud person being
    embarrassed.
