    I have a hand me down DEC 3000/400 with what seems like a faulty
    battery. The system generates errors when running the NVR test and
    it fails to keep track of time or set the SRM mode environment
    variables.
    
    Is there an easy way to fix this problem considering I don't have a
    service contract for it? i.e. is this battery user installable and
    what would the part number be?
