| 1642.1 | The BATTLESTAR BAYLINER is missing???? | RANGER::MACINTYRE | Terminal Angler | Mon Jul 08 1991 09:30 | 8 |
| | Wow! I hope he had his insurance in order. I would imagine that
anyone stealing a boat that size doesn't plan on hiding it away
somewhere locally, it's probably long gone by now...

I just called John and left a message offering him a ride for
    this weekend's tournament.

| | I will print off the info for my husband who is always prowling around
that area looking for the elusive tuna off Jeffries, in the Merrimack, out
to Stellwagon. The registration # may have been obliterated by now but what
was it if you might know? You can tell up close if they have been tampered
with. Any other special markings other than the windshield? That type of
boat is fairly common in the area.

Also how about a hull serial #, if anyone happens to see one setting in
a parking lot sometime, or even on a moring somewhere.

| | In case there is any confusion, the boat mentioned is the bass boat
style cobra - not the deeper hulled big water variety. -donmac

| | Not to worry.....I've seen those crazy dudes in the ocean with
that type of boat. The hull # would be a great help if you
could get it. What a heinous crime....and just when he could
have a little time to enjoy it.

I talked with John recently and he was having some problems with his
in surance company on the claim. It seems John did what most of us
would do have 100% replacement value on our expensive toys, but when
the insurance company said the boat is a total loss they inturn told
him that they only pay 80%. He has/was fighting this "issue" with them
and I'm not sure where he is at with them. Everyone who has this type
of insurance on their may what to pose such a question to their agents
    and or insurance companies.
