SUTTON - Selectmen voted 5-0 to impose a 40 boat limit and a $5.00 fee to use the Manchaug boat ramp from 8 am to 5p.m. on weekends and holidays. Selectmen had approved the fee at an earlier meeting, but area fishermen protested the decision, and the item wsa placed back on the agenda. (from worcester T & G re-printed without permission)

THEY HAVE 0 RIGHT TO DO THAT. It is state land controlled by the state.
I have already called the public access board about this. Time to call
again. With the $5 access stamp you buy with your fishing license, this
is crazy. For those that wish to bitch the number is: 617-727-1843
If I don't get anywhere there, I'll send a letter to my REP, and the
old Bill Weld. I suggest you do the same before this becomes the norm
rather than the exception.
