Does anybody know of a good place to fish around the athol area?
I'm interesting in going for bass or trout by boat 20 H.p. I know
quabbin is near there but I don't need to wait in line for two hours.
Send directions please.
Thanks for any info

Hi, the only two decent fishing spots near Athol have 10 hp max limits
other than the Q I'd say your best bet is the Connecticut river its
about a half an hour west on Route 2. BTW, the Quabbin hasn't really
been too bad to get onto since they opened gate 31 again last year.
It's off of route 122 and very close to South Athol. Take route 202
towards Belchertown and take 122 towards Petesham, it;s about a mile or
so on the right.
Good luck, Don
