I searched for a beginners note, but no luck. I am just beginning
to re-learn how to fish lakes and streams here in Mass and NH. Can I
get some advice on what basic equipment I need to start out (fly
fishing is not what I want to do yet)and where to learn about fishing
in lakes and streams. thanks in advance

This is a tough question to solve in a note, although I'm sure someone will try. Do you ever make it to ZKO (spitbrook)?? If so, I'd be happy to spend some time with you. Just ask Peter Q. Thanks for the quick replies. The Legend sent me a mail message
with a generous offer of help, too. I haven't fished fresh water for
years, when we had casting reels. I remember my friend getting a fresh
water spinning reel for his birthday, and were we jealous. Anyway, I
did spend a lot of time salt water surfcasting for stripers, boat
fishing for blues and sea bass,since I grew up on the Long Island Sound
coast of connecticut. I am anxious to re-learn.

T.J.K., let Me know if You can break loose on a weekday, My boat can
take 3. I enjoy trout(lake & brn,brk & rainbow) and I will slum it for
Bass. Remember! the worst day of fishing; is better than the best day
of work, SORRY DEC. Don't take the jousting in these notes seriously,
with names like LIZZARD(alias the LEGEN,KIV,KEG,PARDO,GITZIT,SLAMMER,
LUNKAR,TIP-RAP, what can YOU expect? Our main objective is fishing,
the Verbal-Abuse is just a sideline to remind us we are human.
