    Im new to the area and am looking for some good Millponds or rivers
    to fish in the DC / Bowie area. Need help fast its getting harder
    and harder to stay sane.  Im from Phila and fish the Del Water Gap..
    
    I hear Maryland is great for fishing , but need to meet a local
    angler to steer me in the right direction...

    No first hand experience to offer, but...
    
    I've seen a number of fishing shows done on the Potomic, and have been
    lead to believe it offers fine smallmouth fishing and is underfished.

    A friend of mine make a regular trip to the Potomic annually.  He lOves
    it.  He claims it's action is as hot as WINNI in the spring.  I am not
    sure of the exact locations on the river but I am sure there must be
    bait shops that will help you out.  They Had a PRO-AM there last year 
    that location is were he goes.

    I saw a Fishin Hole show done on the Potomac - they were fishing within
    sight of various DC landmarks - some hot action on SM and Stripers.
    
    Can't remember the name of the guide service - you might look in the 
    yellow pages.
    
    I have a friend who relocated to DC this summer - more of a boater than
