If you are coming EAST on Rt.9 take a right at the lights at DUDDIE
FORD.
If you are coming WEST on Rt.9 take a left at the lights at DUDDIE
FORD.
The name of this street is OTIS ST.
You will then travel this street approx. 1/2 mile as straight as
straight can be,past ASTRA(on right),over a train bridge to a STOP
sign.
Go LEFT at this "T" intersection.
Approx 1/4 mile on the RIGHT is a street called MILL Rd. this is
the way to the ramp. It winds around a few BAD corners,and the ramp
is on the right hand side of the street.

Mr.Ice,
Could you give me some info as to how many people is allowed in a
team? Since this would be my first appearance in a Dec Winter
Invitational tourney,I assumed that the rest of the rules would be the
same (ie:entry points per preson ect) as the summer tourneys.I have been
talking to a couple friends and I came up with a team of 4 or 5.Also
once you weight a fish,and return it to the water ect,are the recorded
fish what you use at weight in even if you do not catch any more?

A team can consist of 1 or 100 it dont matter, The first year
we had 7 on a so called "TEAM" we put out 35 tip ups and took turns
going for flags, It gave every one on the team a chance and when it
was your turn you had 35 flags to keep an eye on. I know I caught
7 bass that day. If your teams takes a prize it is up to you guys how
you work it out. Points go to the guy who pulled it out and the teams
works it out themselves what happens. We alwasy split points on our
team.
Just remember this is "FUN FIRST" The ice fishing tourny is always
a blast and get a big turn out every year, the first year we had 75
the second year we had about 50 lets beat the 100 mark!!!!!!!!!

Hey Mr Ice,
I read .0 and to avoid any confusion I would eliminate rule 8.
ie 1 Lb penalty for short fish, earlier it is stated twice " All Fish Must
meet legal minimums"

| ICE REPORT!!!!!!!!!!
Well there was a thin crust on many of the ponds in central mass
this morning on the way to work. Looks like the watr is cold enough
now if we can only get the weather to cooperate we can be out there in
the middle of December. They are saying 60's tomorrow. Think I will
get the ole rod out and "COUGH COUGH AH_CHOOO' Gosh, I dont feel well.
Hey remebemer last year this time, I was ice fishing this weekend last
year, and we had about 10 inches of ice at the tourny.
Any body heard from the CLAN????????

tonight. They are calling for cold temps on Friday....

| I took a ride by the A1 at lunch today to check out the
conditions. I didn't actually go onto the ice because it
was raining, extremely slippery, and I didn't have my boots....
Anyway, there were 3 diehards out there, pretty close to shore,
with their tilts set up. One guy came up to his car, and he
indicated that the ice was about 4 inches to the left of the
ramp, and only about 1-2 inches towards the dam/to the right of
the ramp. Ie, it's pretty shaky depending on where you go. :-/
I couldn't talk to the guy too much because he had a major speech
problem...
To the left of the ramp it looked like water on ice w/ no snow.
To the right of the ramp towards the dam it was slushy and snowy
looking, presumably on top of ice.

| Well Guys,. I checked it out and it was a consensus of about 5 of us
that it would be pretty crazy to have 50 of us out there. The ice is
about 4" thick and there is about 1-2 inches of water on it, (NOT
QUITE higher than Pardos sneakers) Anyway they arent calling for real
cold temp over the next two days and I dont want to see anyone get
hurt, so it is being cancelled....
If the temps cooperate and the ice is good we will run it on another
weekend. It will all depend on the weather.

Well good luck to all who do get the chance to fish the derby, after
all the talk it will be interesting to find out who caught what, I
havent even been out this year yet and theres a new power auger and 25
tip ups setting in the ice fishing box collecting dust, but the big
sodus bay ice derby is 2 weeks away and I cant wait to go out probably
be the only time this year since march the boat season starts out here.
If only I could explain a good reason for visiting back there????
