It's a section of Cable, perhaps many miles long, charged with
many KVolts, sometimes as much as 100K! It's used to Shock the fish
to make it easier..... :') Sorry, couldn't resist.

Its a hand line, that has 20/30 ft. of heavy duty rubber
band/cord up front, backed up with a small dia. cord line. You tie a
1 or 2 lb. weight, rock/sock,sand filled, or whatever, up front on
the rubber band, attach 2 hooks (with leader) at front end of cord
line, bait r' up, n' whip r' out ............... NOW... the glory
of it all is, ya catch ya fish, (or check ya bait) PUT THE HOOKS
IN THE WATER....................N' let her snap back out, same spot
every time............LASY, or what ? ....but it works fine.
Before anyone flames me.........I use this for pout/carp only !!!!!

Buy the way.....................anyone who has used a * POWER LINE *
I would like to compare notes.

MAY THE POWER BE WITH YOU ! *8-)

I always use a # 6 hook with a long shank. As for bait I just
put a nightcrawler on each hook and put the radio on the ball game
and sit back and wait for the fun to start.

I also use "DOUGHBALLS" with a #6. Ya buy a nice FRESH loaf of
cheap white bread, tear out the nice soft center, and mold 3/8'' balls
on the hook. the pout/carp love it, and it stays on the hook a long
time. One drawback.........they suck it right down the gut.

    Keep ya tip up.................*8-0 Dan

| | I thought powerlines were illegal in (thar's a law ginst most
everthang) Mass. due to the many hooks usually used.

Not illegal yet that I know of but give them time and they
will call it an assualt weapon. :> Your still only allowed
2 hooks regardless if its 2 hooks on 1 powerline or 2 powerlines
    	with 1 hook each.

Netcraft has trot lines, but you'll have to add the rubber band.
