I have set up a annual fishing trip with my buddys to
Vermont. I was wondering if anyone could fill us in on
the laws about boats and motors. We will be staying at
a camp just north of Mt Snow and will be fishing a few
ponds up on the mountain northwest of there (Branch pond,
Beebe Pond and maybe a few others). Also we were interested
in the Somerset res. Any info on the rules as to motors
and size allowed would be helpful. Also does Vermont
accept Mass registration or are they like New Hampshire and
make you spend more money and plaster your boat with another
    	sticker?

    		JK

P.S. We will be going up Memorial Day weekend.

| Vermont boat registration is reciprocal with all other states.

As far as boating laws, I'd assume that were similar to your state's,
if in doubt obtain a copy of the VT laws from VT.

As for motor restrictions, sure it's possible that some of those ponds
have hp restrictions. Again, since nobody in here with any first hand
knowledge has responded you'll have to contact the state.

    good luck, don mac
