| 1265.1 | whats happening at the watchusetts? | CPDW::OTA | Thu Oct 19 1989 14:46 | 7 | |
I have been fishing there all year and finally hung up my rods after
last week. I got skunked again for the second weekend in row. I
just read an article that says
The Shell Oil Storage Center has been leaking toxic waste into the
Watchusetts and that they think it is a serious leak. I hope not I
have caught several nice trout and a whole string of smallmouths there
the largest being five + pounds this summer.

| 1265.2 | It closes Oct 31 st | CSMET2::HOLT | Fri Oct 20 1989 15:18 | 15 | |
I put a call into the editor's of The Fisherman and they
had the author of the article call me (Frank Daignault).
He informed me his source was Mass Fish & Game Biologist
Joe Bergin in Westboro. After speaking with Joe, it seems
there was some misscomunication...
BOTTOM LINE - MDC has they final say and after calling MDC
headquarters in Clinton, it will CLOSE Oct 31st...
Maybe next year,
-bill
