        That sounds great!!!!!   NIGHT FISHING IN JULY IS UNBELIEVEABLE.
    But to let you know there is another night tournament on that lake
    the same night so you might want to move it in a week, say July
    8 or out one July 22.    If it can be moved in or our one weekend
    sign me up, partner TBD.

I'd be up for a tourney at Pawtuckaway in July.  If we started at 2 PM and 
ran 'til 10 PM, we'd have some good daylight fishing and a couple hours of 
nighttime activity.

    because (I believe) there's a Mass Bass tournament at

    I would love to attend, but, a MASS BASS tournament July 9th at
    Onota would make it impossible for me. I fish quinsig alot a night
    and YES it is heavily pratolled. Also be aware that there is a 
    20MPH speed limit on the lake from sunset to sunrise. 
    
     Good Luck!! And... McQuales has a dock. You guy's should make it
    ON LIMITS to dock at Mcquales!! If I was fishing I'd have my limit
    by 9:30pm and Dock at McQuales and party away from the misquitos
    for the rest of the night!!

    	What are the requirements for night navagation? I am aware of the
    basics like: life jackets, and red/green bow and white stern lights
    and registration. If you are only running electric do you need a
    fire extinguisher? What about a horn?

      Has McQuales Landing been voted in as the official spot you can
    can leave your boat at... I'd fish till 10:00, limit out, then want
    to get out of the mosquitos and enjoy a fresh cocktail or two. The rest
    of you crazy's can stay out till 3:00am. I'll just lock my livewells
    push the timer and set the alarm for the weigh-in.

    	Dave, Where is McQuale's ?  I don't have all the night navagation
    stuff needed so I not sure if I will enter, but, I might want to
    go to McQuales for a few and listen to some fish stories.

    
      McQuales is a failry new (open last season) restaurant and BAR
    located at the route 9 bridge. They have recently installed a DOCK
    just to the left of the restuarant. It's a real nice place with a
    outside deck so you can keep an eye on your boat as well. 
      I fish quinsig alot at night and McQuales is always a refreshing 
    spot. Good Service good food and out of the mosquitos!!
    
      Thanks Ray! I am really considering blowing off the Onota Federation
    tourney this year and this would be a much funner substitute.

    		It's amazing,... those who are jealous of ones consistant
    Bassin' techniques are always  insulting the individual.   I have
    been VERY VERY nice in these files has of late but take abuse from
    the Gitzit' and Moose face regularly.  So what do I do when there
    AHEM gets deep.  EASY......
    
           Log off and go fishin'    I hope you suckers (G & MF) have
    to work till 7 P.M. cause this is the only good night this week.
    I will be out on the ponds (BY 5 P.M) while you guys are taking

    lure,  Last year I showed him a tube lure and that is all he owns.

   Well,

    Just got back from the True Value Hardware store. Picked up my bullet
proof master padlock and latch assembly for my livewell. I antisipate a 
10:00 docking at Mcquales. 
     When Mcquales closes I plan on staying docked up and continuing the
flow of massive ammounts of cocktails. Or maybe I'll float out there 
for a while.
      The fish stop biting after 10:00 anyway...

    Hey let's have the weigh-in at 12:30 or 1 and allow for a coupla
    beers and not srew up the whole weekend.  If this is really for
    fun, let's not kill ourselves.  There is nothing from midnight to
    3am that has any magic.  another alternative would be to start at
    3am. and weigh-in at say 9 or 10am that sounds like a good time
    to me.

    	I saw the same picture. I think it was trick photograpy. I think
    it was the shiner he used magnified 100x. We'll check his live well
    and make sure he still doesn't have it in there. He probobly sold it

    That picture was MY FISH caught in December 1988 on lake Tohoapaglia
    (TOHO) in Kissemmee Fla. No tricks, Just sank the hook, reeled it in,
    took the picture and let it go to get bigger for this years attempt.
    
    I put it down there to show you guy's the ability of the mighty
    BASSMASTER. It looks like it's working. 
    
    Keep druling... you'll need it for your livewells!! The mighty Quin at

    Since I'm new to this Notes file, I'd like to commend you on your
    efforts in putting this tournament together.   GOOD JOB !!!
    
    However, I do  know a few of the 'enlistees', and would like to
    direct a few comments to them.
    
    First-of-all, how come only a couple of the "Wayside Bassmasters"
    have signed up ???  Come-on guys, there are many more of you out
    there.  Are Al, Jack, John, George, and Dave our only real fisher-
    man, this club can produce ????
    
    Second-of-all, Hey Bart L. .... this isn't a fly fishing tournament!!!
    ..since that's the only kind of fishing you know........
    This tournament is for REAL fishermen only, fishing for the best
    fresh-water game fish there is......     I'm sure the rest of the
    entries will be very, very, happy to take your money.
    ..for you are easy !!!!!
    
    and I'd love to join in, since Jack needs a partner, but in a few
    hours, I'll be on vacation.

Hey, RR & TBDW, the hawg pool is for the biggest BASS not BUZZ.

Thought about going back sunday and retrieving my spinnerbaits from the trees.
Gotta lay off the high hard one next time.  I spent twice as much on lost 
tackle as I did to enter.  Hafta win next time to break even!

Any body want to tell where they caught fish?  On what?

Next night tourney, I'm getting those night vision goggles that army helicopter
pilots use.  Or maybe I'll order Xray specs from the inside cover of a comic
book.  That way I can see my trailer through the back door before I hit someone.

              Good job on setting up and running the tourney,i had a
            great time meeting and talking to you all!! OH ,YA i also
            had good time FISHING too. HA HA !
    
              WE ( yes Gerry WE ! ) caught our fish in about 8 to 10 feet
            of water while the boat was in 20 - 30 feet, casting towards
            shore.It seems they were sitting on the edge of the drop off.
    
              Alan started out using a gitzit then switched to a white
            Sassyshad(sp?) at dusk.i started out using a 6" crawdad culpret
            worm and switched to a 5" green grub with christmas colors at
            dusk.
    
    re .77 + .78  -       HEY Gerry , both ME and ALAN limited out 
                      ( 5 fish each - 10 fish and were culling by 10 )
    
                  -   Also see what i can do when i have a REAL partner

     Second place has it's tale to tell.
    
     We caught our largemouths early in 2-3 ft of water at a creek inlet.
    We caught them on Gitzit's-- the small crappie size. The boat was in
    8-9 ft and we too were casting towards shore.
     After dark I went to see if the smallmouth's were at my favorite 
    spot. For those of you who saw us weigh-in they were there!!. The
    smallies were all caught after dark on a road bed. We used white
    spinner baits and Buzzbaits with trailer hooks. This raod bed climed 
    to 3ft of water with 12-15ft on each side. We sat at the 3-4ft depth
    and casted out. We caught the fish as they were coming up to feed. We
    also caught numerous small smallies

    Just to set the record straight I did weigh in one FISH.  He was small
    but mighty.  It was the first time I ever fished at night and it was
    interesting.  Nothing could sound worse then hitting a branch instead
    of water!!
    
    Next time I'll be out there again trying to catch the big one!
