The current (pun-intended) condition is not unusual for spring although
not usually this late. I haven't launched from that particular
ramp (are you refering to South Hadley ?) but the Agawam and other
ramps I do use take a licking and keep on ticking ... so not to
woory about it. What I want to know is how all this late flooding
is affecting the shad run ... I haven't heard boo yet.

| | Its the one off exit 5 on Mass Pike..not sure if its Chicopee or
what... This past weekend is when I encountered the dissapointing
vanishing ramp...so we fished for about an hour with only 1 shad
caught. From what I could tell, the locals werent getting too many
because of the fast water...with the receding waters, (if it doesnt
rain again) things should be considerably better this weekend...

I stopped by the Chicopee ramp this evening and yes, it's under
water ... the turnaround is under water. There were trailers in
the lot, though, so I think things are ok.

| | Does anyone know the conditions of the ramp or water level by the
OXbow on the Ct. river. Is the water up or down. I will be heading
there this weekend for the first time ever.

    THanks in advance
