Does anyone have information on the DEA/Customs/GIA agencies
auctions for boats and other recreation vehicles that are
released after being impounded during investigations?
The Danversport Marine and Tackle Shop owner has just been
arrested for drug trafficking and distribution. He was caught
with $220k worth of pure cocaine.
He has three fully-rigged, ~25' Sea Ox boats, all of which were
impounded. Love to get my hands on one of these dirt cheap....
Not to mention the fully stocked Tackle store located at Danver's
Pope's Landing. There surely will be a sale or auction on the
goods at the store....the only question is when.
If I read of any auction or sale at the store, I'll let you
all know of it.

If there's an auction, it might be an inexpensive opportunity to start your own tackle business by making an offer for the whole lot! | |||||

re: .0
Watch "McPaper" (USA Today), they publish the Gov't . Seizure Sales.
The larger area papers do also (Boston Globe?)
Depending upon where the contraband was located when seized, the
sale could be as soon as two or three months, or not until after
the trial. Also, the Fed's may sell the individual items or bundle
them together.
These sales can produce super savings. In 1974, I bought a 1 year
old Olds Toranado for $2300, vs a market price of ~$6500. (Car
was taken from a drug pusher, and included a remote starter!)

I believe the USA today lists the auctions in every Wednesday's
paper.
