| | I'd read a few weeks back in some Vermont tabloid (I think it was
    Northern Vermont Trout Tours) that the fishing has once again picked
    up. They were talking about some nice rainbows being caught this
    summer and suggested trying it despite the heat problems earlier
    on in the summer. I'm planning to give it a shot before the season
    ends.

| | I'm considering camping for a week this July someplace around
    Burlington. One of the places I'm considering is Little River State
    Park at the Waterbury Resevoir. Is anyone out there familiar with the
    Park or the fishing in the Resevoir?

|  |     Yup...

 |
| 858.4 | let me add to that.... | BTOVT::RIVERS_D |  | Wed Feb 06 1991 09:11 | 9 |
| | Let see....the park isn't too bad, I'll see if I can dig up some
    specifics for you.

    I know there are Browns, Rainbows, and bullhead....because I've caught
    all three there.

    Do you have any specific questions?

| 858.5 | how bout smallies? | RANGER::MACINTYRE | Terminal Angler | Wed Feb 06 1991 09:18 | 9 |
| | Any bass, walleye or pike?

    During July I'd assume the trout would be deep, and since I don't have
    downriggers I'd probably have to leave them alone.

    Bullheads aren't exactly prime targets, but if the park had sites on the
    water it may be fun to keep some lines in the water at night.

| 858.6 | not to my knowledge | BTOVT::RIVERS_D |  | Wed Feb 06 1991 12:44 | 10 |
| | I don't know of any numbers of warm water species in the reservoir.

    Re: trout in deep water in july

    not necessarily. Depends on WHEN in July, and ofcourse the weather.
    Deepest part is 100' with an average of around 40'....

    good luck
