    If you just want to read it (don't need to own it), you might want
    to consider your local library.  I live in a town of 20,000 or so
    and the library has about 100 volumes under the general topic of
    fishing.  In 3 years, I've read all of them except the ones on
    flyfishing.  I'm trying to talk them into expanding their collection.
    I don't recall specifically seeing "The Lure..."

     There is a guy in Auburn, Ma. named Kenneth Anderson who specializes
    in collecting all types of sporting books - first editions to basic
    used books. He has quite a selection, and many are real reasonable;
    as I said, he's not just a source for those looking for "originals".
     He also buys books, and may swap as well, so you might want to
    give him a try. I've seen his stuff at various Sportsmen's shows,
    but have never dealt with him personally but - drop a dime, it might
    be worthwhile.

    I picked up a book at the Worcester Fishing Show this year, a volume
    of the "Fishing and Hunting Library" by Don Oster, on Largemouth
    Bass. It's the same series of books sold through the mail and in
    the magazines for about $16-17 per book. (at the show they were $12.95)
    I found it pretty interesting and informative, especially the parts
    on their life-cycle, habitats, preferences, and the sections on
    types of lures and how to use them. Lots of good quality pictures,
    too.I have since found out that there are enough differences between
    Largemouth and Smallmouth to warrant seperate books (although I'm
    sure they *could* have made one volume for both if they wanted...)

       If you live anywhere near Leominster the Book Corner in the 
    new part of the Searstown Mall can get the book. They have a catalog
    on micro fiche that is from a clearing house for out of print books.
    I got one as a gift , it took about 2 weeks to come in. If you call
    information for the no. it may be a new listing.

    The Book Corner in Leominster is where they told me it wasn't listed
    on their microfiche.  Perhaps they have a separate one for "books
    out of print".

    page in the sports section.  The first in a series of articles (next

    Art, I know exactly what you mean!! I liked the magazine but I hated
    there reminders for payments even if you were all paid up for the
    year. They kept on sending me notices after I let my subsciption
    expire and made it seem like you owed them money. What a pain the
