    I will be vacationing with family (wife, son 8, daughter 5) around the
    Lake Placid NY area (Silver Lake) in two weeks. This will be my first 
    time in this area.
    
    I was wondering if anyone could tell me what type of fishing I should
    gear up for? I normally fish for Bass.  The place we are renting has
    boats available.  
    
     Should I gear up for stream fishing as well?
    
     Any suggestions or comments welcome.

	I used to go up there about 18 years ago when I was a kid. We used to catch rainbows like crazy on worms in Mirror lake in the center of town. There are lakers and bass also. In the biger lakes like Saranac there were pike. Don't know how it is now. Bruce
