| | HAGIS = Sheep Stomach stuffed with sheep meat by products. To eat you
must fisrt have ample supply of Good Scottish Whiskey. I've
tried it and its not that bad. They have a holiday based on
the guy who invented hagis. Best time to visit is during that
            hoilday time.

Now that the Haggis matter has been cleared up ,the long awaited opening day
on my local waters (Loch and river) is only 4 days away. I'll be up at Loch
Spouts (Pronounced Spoots) from the crack of dawn and hopefully get a nice
bag of Rainbows or even a wild Brown. As the weather here is around 4 - 10 C
at the moment ,a fast sinking line and a size 10 longshank Red Booby will be
the order of the day. Also hoping to get Salmon fishing on tuesaday as the
rain hasn't stopped for days - bunch of worms with a drilled sinker and stop-
shot ,hopefully the rain will bring the first few Springers into the river.
I took 3 fresh run Salmon last April with this method so here's hoping...

    Fellow Fishers,

has anyone seen or heard of this before. I was fishing
the River Girvan this morning and caught a Sea-Trout . The thing about
it was that at least 2 other people had also hooked the same fish - the
hooks and about 2 feet of line were still attached to the fish. Also
the fish would only be a few days in the River , the fact that these
migratory fish are not supposed to feed while in fresh-water makes it
all seem more of a wonder. Needless to say "Third time unlucky".

| | Brian,

What stretch of the river Girvan do you fish? Is it the Digital
    stretch?

Do you fish any other local rivers for Salmon/sea trout?

If you have any info on some good fishing e.g.
Doon/Girvan/Stinchar etc, that would be available for let, geez a Buzz.

    cheers.....John.
