OpenVMS cannot represent a date 22-Jan-0008 without assistance -- the
oldest standard date one can store is 17-Nov-1858.
Can you get an example of the code and the MAIL shareable calls that
produced this error from the customer? (If, on the other hand, the
customer is not using the callable interface, then all bets are off.
I'd not expect much sympathy from the mail devos when mail is asked
to access a user-created (and corrupt) mail file...)
