        Hi,

        A customer reported the following problem (reproductible at will)

        OpenVMS Alpha 7.1 Posix 3.0

LUTECE � posix
psx> uname -a
POSIX_for_OpenVMS_AXP LUTECE V3.0(V3.0) V7.1 DEC_3000_Model_400 Alpha
psx> mail

%POSIX-F-SIGSEGV, segmentation violation
-SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=000000007AF5
psx>  PC=0000000000032D34, PS=0000001B

        Given the OpenVMS Alpha Software Rollout Schedule as of 15-Apr-1997,
        Posix 3.0 should run on 7.0 and 7.1 Alpha.

        Callable mail routines have been changed in 7.1 (Programming release
        notes p5-18 $$ 5.14). Is this the clue ?
