I have a brand new Super Tigre 3000 that has only been run a few times.
Basically the engine runs, starts, and idles fine but has not proven
reliable enough for glider towing.
It quits, often at full throttle. I am no engine wizard and can't seem
to solve the problem.
I would sell the whole thing with J-Tec Snuffler muffler for $135.

| Thanks for the reply,I told my friend about it and he wants to think
about it.It sounds like it has some problems.
Would you settle for $75 ? I may take interest in it myself.

| I think I will be able to sell the engine locally(ie to a club member)
for $130, so I am remaining firm on the price.
A club member is going to lend me an O.S. 7D carb which will should
help to further troubleshoot the problem.

Have you tried the 'special' fuel made for ST engines? I have a ST2500
on a SIG 4Star120 and it runs great on the fuel.
Just a suggestion.

| I came across a fellow with the same problem, he removed his muffler,
magically in flight and has never had the problem since.Try reducing
your back pressure.
