| Well, there's snow out there to be sure, 2-3 in. in the past two days,
the usual school closings, fender benders, and general panic among
the populace, BUT, I ain't a shovlin' it, just kicking it out of the
way.
Time to wax the skis.
Er, Wolf Creek did get 64".

| Well beings,
I fly as a member of the Ailes D'Azur, which is a 50 odd member
club. Our field currently is the top of a mountain which some developer
had levelled years ago but never made anything to put on top.
The field looks down on to the Bay of Cannes (20 - 25 mile sweep) and
has all the best and some of the worst aspects of mother nature.
Wind.
Its very gusty, very changeable and oftentimes too strong. Its known
as the Mistral and blows swirly from the land mass out to sea.
Our mountain top is located in a beautiful range known as the Esterelle
which runs right down to the sea and ends in a glorious tumble of red
cliffs and emerald sea.
To go flying we leave the coast and drive up 300 - 400 (altitude) into
the wild. Ony inhabitants are the cicadas, wild violet and the smaller
scampering things.
All this only two miles or so inland from the coast.

This is the world upside down. Here in the Great White North (Ottawa,
Canada) we're still on green grass. I just had to cut my lawn this
weekend. Looks like the magnetic pole has already started to shift down
south. Can't wait for those palm trees to be up here.
