| | American Express started the purchase guarantee program. I bought an
RC car kit that was missing alot of parts from a mail-order place that
refused to supply the missing pieces or exchange the kit since it was
almost built. Called up AE and within 3 days had a complete kit
    at my doorsteps.

| | BJ's Wholesale Club in Westboro, MA has a new supply of those $99
Cox "easy to fly" R/C .049 styrofoam crash kits. Too bad they don't
take American Express - I'd put a sign up there advising folks to
use AE if they're buying those toys!

| | I know of two cases where buying with credit cards have paid off for
RCers. One of the guys tha fly helicopters here in Colorado Springs
purchased a .60 sized TSK, a very expensive kit, during the first hover
self induced radio noise cause a crash. He filed with the credit card
company and was aked to supply pictures and the receipt for the
replacement parts. He was reinmbursed $900.00 for the chopper parts.

The second case was a guy who purchased a Shuttle ZX heli and crashed
it from about 100ft. He also filed a claim and was asked to provide a
notorized document from a wittness and the sales receipt. Within two
weeks he recieved a check covering the full purchase price.
