Sorry Tom, can't help you on the kit - but may I suggest that you
modify the title of this topic to something like "World Engines
Enticer" to aid the folks trying to clean up the conference?

Since I wrote this note I have purchased the kit and begun building
the plane. Presently I have one wing pannel complete except for
the leading edge. This includes all cap strips and the wing tip.
In addition I have begun the second wing panel. Here I have all
of the ribs in place with the spars, trailing edge and the trailing
edge sheeting in place. I will need to joint the completed wing
panel to the framed panel prior to sheeting to accomidate glueing
    the dihedral braces.
Thursday I received my new Enya R120. This will be going into this
ship. One nifty addition to the engine is that it's shipped with
a remote glow plug connector. I thought that was nice. I found out
that the engine this ship was designed around was the Maloney 125.
I haven't heard anything good to say about this engine so that's
what prompted me to go with the 120 glow four stroker. The all up
weight of the maloney with it's mount is 50 oz. The Enya weights
21 oz. I figure that with a metal mount and a spinner I can add
10 oz to the overall engine weight. This then means that I need
to reduce the tail weight by app. 3-4 oz. Presently the vertical
stab and the rudder are made of solid sheet stock. My thoughts
being that if I drill lightening holes or frame these parts up
from sticks and sheet with 1/16 I can take the 3-4 oz. out of the
tail. I have already taken 5 oz out of the wing by putting lightening
holes in the wing tip plates. These were solid hard 3/8" sheet stock.
I am also planning on monocoating the ship and think the 9lbs projected
    kit weight can be met.

| | Eric, Mine is not the R120GP. It's the straight R120. No pump.
I have not yet run the engine. I expect to do quite a bit of
testing to get a prop selection.

| | Thank's for the info. As the ship it's going in is a large lazzy
    flyer,

    	(18% wing thickness,72"span,980sq's,9lbs tail dragger) I was
going to start out with a 15/6. I have three I found in an old box.
Rather I''ll try the 13/10. If I can get the plane to end up at
9lbs. I think it should fly fine. A pattern ship It aint. But that's
not what/why I bought it. I'd like it to be somewhat aerobatic
but very friendly. I'm looking for that ship that you take to the
field every flying session and fly till the batteries scream for
a recharge. With the thick wing it should have a slow stall speed.
