| | There always used to be a shop in London which dealt exclusively
    with avaition books. The shop's name was Beaumont Aviation. Since
    I have no magazines or references available, perhaps another UK
    noter can give further details.

    	Regards, Andrew.

| 934.2 | an aviation book finder! | WRASSE::FRIEDRICHS | Never trust a premi! | Wed Jun 28 1989 11:40 | 25 |
| | Well, I got a catalog the other day that specializes in ..

    	"Out of print Aviation, Space and Weather Books"

    		Winston R. Dole
    		92 Church Street
    		Merrimac, MA 01860
    		508-346-4312

    He states he does NOT have a retail shop. No credit cards... You
    call or send a list of what you want, they tell you if they still have
    it and how much and hold the book for you. You send them a check..

    *They also do searches for books* (Maybe he can find some of the books
    listed in .0!)

    He has some series sets as well, for $240 you can get the complete set
    of Aircraft Profiles, No 1-132, plus $5.00 for most of no. 133-204.;
    and sets of cross and cockade.

    I will let you all know how this works out...

    cheers,
    jeff

| | As a favor to the AerMacchi Co. that has recently supplied me with
    invaluable material (see the note in 272 that describes what I got
    from them), they requested that I located the following book for them.

    	Italian Civil and Military Aircraft 1930-1945 by J. Thompson.

    If you know where I can find a copy of this book, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    jeff
