| | Dave,
The baron 28 (designed around .28 sized engines) and the Baron
30 (designed around the .28-.32 sized engines) are assembled from
the same side frames. A different engine mount might be required
for the Baron 28 to accept the .32 but I don't think so. Pretty
sure that the engine mounting holes for the .32 are the same as
    the .28.

| 833.2 | I have an OS 32H | SNOC01::BROWNTONY | Tony Brown Sydney, Australia | Thu Jan 12 1989 16:36 | 10 |
| | I have an OS 32H which I intend to put into a Baron 20MX that I
bought recently. I bought the 20MX in Singapore, and it sounds
the same as the 28. The 20MX instructions call for an OS 28 or Enya
SS30, but I was assured by some heli flyers at my club that the
OS32 has the same mounting bolt pattern as the 28. If you want,
I can measure the 32 for you this weekend.

    Regards
    Tony

| | Tony,

Sounds great. I believe I will go ahead and order the 32-H before
I lose the price oportunity anyhow but will still like to hear about
your result, including how the cylinder head fits under the fan
shroud and what you are using for a muffler and how it fits.

    Thanx Mike

| | Tony,
Does your chopper have a scissors located on the main shaft?
I'm pretty sure that the Baron 30 as marketed in the US is called
a Baron 30 outside of the US. If your chopper has collective pitch
,plastic swash plate and app 48"rotor span chances are it's the
Baron 30. Like I said they changed the name for the US,

| | Talked to a rep at Circus Hobbies last night and was informed the
the Baron 28 will take a Webra 28 an OS 25 and an OS 32-H. So since
the Webra 28 at Circus was $89 and Tower is having a sale on the
OS 32-H for $99.99 then I'm going to put the 32 in it. It really
    was underpowered with the 25.

Thanx to any and all contributors

I haven't unpacked the kit yet (no time....sigh...), but the 20MX
literature says collective head with auto, 48" rotor diameter, weight
    5 to 5.5 lb, and 28 to 30 motor.

Trying to reorganise priorities yet again......
    Damn New Year resolutions.....

    Regards

| | Tom,

I broke down and ordered the OS 32-H since Tower had it on sale
for $99.99. I will put it in soon and it will at least be ready
in the spring, maybe sooner if the weather continues. What to check
it out for me some time ? I'd appreciate your comments on my setup.

| | SURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why wait for spring? Why waste all of that time?

When do you want to do it?

    Tom.

I would think that he's talking auto clutch. I had heard that Kalt
changed the name from a 20 to a 30 to fit wit hthe american mentality
of what's better is "bigger". Progression.
    20-US non collective Kalt
    28-US collective version of a 20
    30-US " ,bigger blades,metal boom

Yes, the 20MX has an auto-rotation clutch ( and a metal boom).
