| | Franz, Ask yourself the following questions.

1, Why am I balancing the plane?

2, Is it better to be nose heavy or tail heavy?

3, If I add weight to the nose, then balance the plane, then
remove the nose weight will the plane be nose heavy or tail heavy?

4, Do I balance with the tank full or empty?

I hope the sarcasm doesn't discourage beginner questions.
That's part of what this notes file is all about. Keep the
good questions coming, it may save your plane! I had no idea
that it was bad for a plane to be tail heavy when I started
    in the hobby.

Some purists will make every effort to put the fuel tank
right over the CG so there is no change in aerobatic performance
throughout the flight. This usually requires a fuel pump, and
is overkill for most of us. Just balance with tank empty and
    you're all set.
