I haven't personally tested, but I don't see why not. Any terminal
    emulator should work under Win95.

| I've been using the older Kermit, as a DOS application,
    under Windows95. Works fine.

| 1487.6 | trouble running kermit 3.11 on Windows95 | LEDER2::CHENG | Tue Apr 15 1997 20:56 | 37 | |
| I copied the old Kermit 3.11 kit onto my new P166 system (windows95 only,
no DOS installed) and is having problem getting it to work.

From Windows95 I used Windows exploror to startup kermit. Windows95 did
started up a small window for the kermit application. I then did the
following as I would when I ran it on my 486 DOS/Wfwg :
    	set port 2
    	set speed 9600
    	conn

Then dial the following number to a local dial-in line

    	atdt3305110

It got the following echo back "Connect 9600/ARQ/V32/LAPM"

Usually, on my 486/dos it would echo the following :

"Please type your terminal identifier" Then I would type in A and
    	then go on from there.

But now the system did not echo back "Please type your terminal
identifier: ". It just hang there. Then everytime I hit a key on the
keyboard, it would echo the "Please type ..." one character at a
   	time.
Then after a short while, it reported "no charier" error.

I know it did tried to dial to the dial-in phone number cause I
could here the noise/sound from the modem when it was dialing.

Any suggestion of what might be wrong ? Note my P166 does not have
DOS installed, only Windows95 installed. Would it make any
difference ? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Kenneth Cheng
