Gargoyle's. The race is now called the Gargoyle's 300.
Hey how about hmmmmm ...... The Alta Vista 300, or DEC 300, or ahhh

| Well Mr. Boston Strangler, your about 8 hours too late on your
entry. But, since it's the beginning of Speedweek and I'm feeling
pretty good, your in. Besides, I had a hell of a good time watching
the Winternationals last week on TNN. The nitro machines continue
to blow my mind. Madmen, every one of them, starting with Force.
And how about the 17 year old young lady who made it into the
1/4 finals of top fuel in her first nitro event. Way to go, lady!

| OK, the Clash was a bust, but we have a couple of early
leaders. Hard to believe only Milton and Dunnell picked
Gordon to win! Unfortunatly both went over on the pole
speed, so it's still anybody's contest to win. I think
Nilsson must have been checking The Swami's crystal ball,
or something. His pick was 189.731, the pole was 189.813.
Hopefully Nascar will do something by Sunday, or it could
be a real yawner.

| We have a winner!!!! And the winner is HBAHBA::HARDING.
Congratulations. Hard to believe only two folks picked
Boy Blunder to win. One was over on the pole speed (CJ),
the other (BA) had a lower pole guess than Harding.
It's interesting to note, the contest was won with a
correct pick for the 300, Randy LaJoie. I'll be in
touch for the winners gift. Would a Hooters wing,
preserved in moonshine be OK? :*)
