854.0. "Annual Trip" by ODIXIE::RHARRIS () Tue Nov 13 1990 08:43
    Well,

In less than 24 hours Earl and myself will be headed down to deer camp
for the annual trip. Conditions look good. New moon, cold nights,
comfortable days, sunny all week, and the rut is starting in Georgia.
Signs of big buck have been discovered on the property!! I am more
excited than I was for the opener. 4 days in the woods looking for ole
mossy rack. Will I see him? Will he get to jump into my scope? Who
knows. Tonight will be venison steaks sauteed in butter with onion for
dinner.(Just like the indians did). Eat some of the game you are to
hunt prior to, and become one with. Well it sounded good. Went to the
store last night, let me see, beer, ammo, license. I am ready. Oh
yeah, food. Well, everybody have a good week, hope no one gets the
buyout, and talk to you next week. Hopefully will be in 270., but will
    definately be in 737.

    crosshairs and BIG racks,

Real men/hunters never have to 'buy' their food. They catch it.

    Cheers

PS: good hunting see ya in two weeks. I'm fixing to go up tomorrow
night and then all Thanksgiving week, I can't wait either.

| | well the alabama seasons starts in 30 hours from now and i can't wait
to get out there. it's hard to get use to hunting in alabama compare to
n.h. where i hunted all my life. it's going to be 70 degrees saturday
and i have no snow to track them. in alabama all land is posted so you
have to have a permit by the landowner in order to hunt the land or you
have to find a place like the tva land that is public. one good thing
about alabama we are allowed one buck per day and in later part of
december and the first week of january we are allowed one buck along
with one doe per day. so i have already taken the last and first week
of of december and january. the deer season starts on november 17 and
ends on january 31 so i have a long period to hunt for my buck and doe.

Well, I hunt in NH and its going to be 65 tomorrow and warm again on
the weekend. I think the only snow will be up north and its gonna be
slush. Maybe Alabama and NH aren't that different, now we just need
    to get off the 1 deer/year .
