Has anyone heard what the proposal for Mass Waterfowl dates is?
Last night I got the latest issue of American Hunter (from NRA).
In the field notes section, there was a short article on Early
season regulations for migratory birds. If I read it correctly,
it says they have proposed a SEPTEMBER Goose season. That's the
first I had heard of that. Did I misread this or does anyone
know what the story is?
Some excerts from the article:
o
o
o
A significant change is an expansion of the number of states offering
September Canada goose seasons in area experiencing agricultural damage
from resident birds.
o
o
o
Atlantic Flyway - Continuation of the 45-day woodcock season;
continuation of early Canada goose hunting seasons in portions of North
Carolina and the INTRODUCTION OF SEPTEMBER SEASONS in New York and
MASSACHUSETSS;

Jeff,
Thanks for the dates. Is that 3 birds bag limit or in the aggregate?
So it looks like October 16th is "personal holiday" day.
Good Luck
Tom,
