I need to purchase a scope for my 44mag. Do any of you fellow noters
have any recommendations? What make will withstand the recoil.
What field of view should I get. What magnification should I get.
I don't expect to take a shot beyond a 100yds. I need to get one
soon so I can get alot of parctice in before the season starts.
I got my doe tag last week.
What kind of loads do you handgun hunters use on doe? Should I consider
something other than 240gr JHP bullets?
Thanks,
JC

Hello JC,
I think I just might have what you're looking for. I have
a Burris 2X Pistol Scope that I used to use on my Ruger SBH. If
you have a Ruger SBH I will sell you the mount I had also. The
mount is made by Williams and required no drilling to install.
It's one of the types that clamp to the barrle. I'm asking $100
for the Scope and Mount and $80 for the Scope alone. I currently
live in Taxachusetts and would ask that you pay for shipping if
you are lucky enough to live in another state. If you are interested
you can best reach me by mail at SCOMAN::WIINIKKA as I am seldom
in my office.
Good luck filling your doe tag...Scot
