I'm happy to announce that my son (2nd child) was born last night.
His name is Matthew and weighed 7 pounds, and is doing great.

My reason for posting this here is that I will not be very active
in this notes file for awhile. With work and a new child at home,
I just wouldn't be able to devote much time to hunting.

Being a responsible adult with clear priorities, I talked it over
with my wife. We decided the only reasonable choice was for me
to take an eight week parental leave of absence from work so I
can divide my time appropriately between home and hunting!

I will check in from time to time. Maybe I will see some of you in
the field. I will be the one with bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep.

    Mark,

P.S.	If I bought Matthew a new gun now, do you think he
would let me borrow it for a couple of years

| Way to go! A new hunting partner. Did you get him a .22 yet?
    Lifetime membership to the NRA?

I commend you on your clear prioritization of activities.

| Well done. I know I bought my daughter a new fishing pole when she was only a week old, so getting your son a new gun should be no prob. :-) Congrats- and enjoy! The Doctah | |||||
