| | As far as hunting with a semi-automatic, there can only be a maximum
of 5 rounds in the firearm. I believe that this only applies to
semi-auto's. As far as a license to carry one should apply to the
state police. Why not buy an Uncle Mikes belt holster for a few
bucks just for the purpose of not having it concealed. If it is
not concealed there is no need for a permit.

| | Dennis, I have hunted N.H. for a number of years and can offer some
advice. It's a piece of cake to get a permit to carry concealed. Just
apply via the state police and assuming you have a valid permit in your
own state and haven't been a bad guy, for some paperwork and ten bucks,
    you got it.

Secondly, I'd like to suggest one of the Uncle Mikes bandoleer
holsters. I use one with my 8" .357 and it's an excellent hunting
hoslter. You wind up with a cross-chest carry that makes your gun
readily accessable with minimal movement and even comes with a
removable cover to keep out the elements. Costs a few bucks but I
    love mine.

    		Good luck,
    		Tom "LL" Davis

    Tom,

How many years is that permit to carry good for? In Mass. $10 gets
    you 5 years worth.

| | I am a resident and my permit is good for 2 years. Residents only
    pay $4.

| | Those Uncle Mikes holsters are fine for open country but they are
quite noisey if you plan to poke around in the brush. I've got
one for my Ruger .44mag. The only problem I have is that the front
sight gets hung up in the holster if I don't pull the gun out
    carefully.
