    Well, my pup is 7 months old. Time to decide on whether to have
    her fixed, mostly my wife wants it done. I know this is controversial,
    some say it ruins a hunting dog, others say it doesn't. The thing
    is that I had considered breading her, but as things are turning
    out with my wifes asthma, it doesn't look like I could keep a pup
    anyway, unless I kennel both dogs outside. So, I'm leaning toward
    spaying her, but I want to investigate all the pro's and con's.
    My last dog I had fixed and she gained a little weight, but overall
    performance in the field was not effected. What do you fellow dog
    owners have to say about it.
