| | Move to Washinton so you can be done with everything but
Elk which starts on Saturday. Oh, and of course pheasant
only runs from Oct 1 to Jan 1st, so you still have to
do that for 2 more long months.

The problem is that you have to give up salmon fishing all
during these pesky hunting seasons. I mean all that hunting this
year was fun....but all the salmon I missed.

    :-)

Of course, if you have labs, pheasant hunting is not as much fun
as if you have a real dog like a springer.

    Brett.

Hey Brett, isn't this a contradiction of terms?

Well I made the serious mistake of mentioning this "problem to my
wife. She now has a "to do" list on the refrigerator. I'll be
lucky if I get everything done by NEXT deer season. I did go out
and buy "North American Whitetail" last night. Good mag. Didn't
    help.

| | Jeff, I think you should be nice to those *real* dogs and find them
some pheasants or geese. You don't want them to get too upset with
your leaving them behind on a hunting trip..........

| | Well sports fans, the time is fast aproaching! A week from today
I'll be in the woods stalking Bambi. Talked with the folks at the
campground last night. They are seeing deer every day while bow
hunting, including some with _very_ respectable racks. Only bummer
is that the weather is getting warmer instead of colder. Am still
hoping that we get some snow for opening day. Sharpend two knives
last night. (Always need a spare). Put one coat of snow seal on
boots, will do another tonight. Started my list of food that I
want to bring. Got to go get some more shells and Buck lure (pew!).
Thought I would get in some sea duck hunting this past Saturday tohelp
the time fly by. The weather report said, winds 0 to 5 and seas
flat. Got up at 3:30 and we were down at the harbor by 6:00. Wind
was blowing 20-25 and seas were 4 to 6. Got out to the mouth of
the harbor and headed back in. Don't feel like drowning over a duck.
Still had fun, went woodcock and partridge shooting instead. Everything
at this stage of the game is a formality while waiting for deer.
Well, the countdown is on, good luck to all you Bambi slayers out
there. Have a safe and sucessful hunt.

    Jeff
