Does anyone have any idea what marinas will charge to take a
boat (28ft) out of the water for a couple of hours or till possibly
    overnight.
The reason is because I have to do some minor repair to the propeller
and scrape some growth off. I would be most interested in marinas in
    the Boston area.

| I don't remember what I paid last summer for a haul and high-pressure
wash, however something in the area of $5/foot seems to ring a bell.
This was at Hewitt's Cove Marina in Hingham, MA. There is also a very
good diver there named Kevin. I don't recall his last name, however
everyone in the marina knows him and his totally bald head makes him
easy to spot. He might be able to do your work without hauling the
boat. He can be reached through the marina office at 617-749-6647.

As a point of reference, I had a diver offer to scrape the growth off
the bottom of my 31' boat for $1/foot. Most want $2/foot however.

Does anyone know what they get to haul a 28 foot boat out of the water
and deliver it to ones house (Boston to Stoneham). Are there ane
guarentees involved? I'm concerned about the ribs because the boat is
    22 years old.

| 888.3 | $80/hr | LEVERS::SWEET | Wed Aug 14 1991 15:58 | 4 | |
| Around $80 an hour is what I have to be a good norm. The cost is based
on round trip of course. I would expect your cost to be around $150.
