I was looking for information on Tuneups but it does not
exist as a KEYWORD.
Do any of you take you boats into the Ashland Marina
(or boat yard) for such work annually ?
What does it cost (approx.) ?
What kind of work and service do they provide.
This one in Ashland is located on rt 126 accross
from Marconi's !

NOT !
That's a general sweepingization, I know, but.....
Far more "worth while" and worth the money is the shop manual
and basic tune up tools - - also generally useful for fixing cars &
trucks, etc.
R {opinions and mileage will likely vary}

| 761.2 | try these keywords | AIMHI::CPOTTER | Fri Oct 05 1990 12:23 | 10 | |
Don't know anything about the Ashland Marina, but...
try looking under the keyword "maintenance". If you're like me,
you try to combine your trips to the shop for tuneups with
your trips in for winterization. If that's the case then the
keyword "winterize" may have some info as well. As I recall
both contained good info for DIY'ers, so the suggestion in
the previous response (get a shop manual) and the info under
these keywords, may be all you'll need...

| 761.3 | Where can I find someone who could tuneup my boat? | LUDWIG::FISHER | Wed Apr 24 1996 11:01 | 11 | |
Hi,
I just purchased a 69 sport craft boat and 1975 evinrude outboard
motor last week. I wanted to have it tune up. I called and they don't
do work on old model. Is that true? I live in Hudson, Ma. If you know
someone who will do it, let me know ,pls!
thanks,
Dave
