Whipping out my trusty Overton's catalog, here's what it says:
Back-to-back lounge seats, adjust to upright or fully reclined
position, underseat storage is included. Base height is 10",
seat dimensions are 18"W x 18"H x 43"L. Overall length when reclined
is 66".

They don't explicitly say who makes them but I suspect it's WISE since
Overton's sells lots of WISE seats in their catalog. Also don't know
if that's a good price. They say the "list price" is $215.00, but we

Two years ago I paid $280 for a pair of back-to-back reclining
seats at Ward's Marine in Winthrop MA. They special ordered
them from a place in Texas, and the quality was excellent,
much better than what you see at places like Bliss or BOAT/US.

A guy here just ordered a set of seats from my Shoreway Marine Catalog,
$89 each plus shipping ($11?). They were cheaper than even E.B. Bliss.
You might check a U.S. Boats catalog but you need to be a member to
buy.

Just be careful what the backings are made of. They may be real
(junk) cheap. Also the grade of vinyl.

| I bought a set of these from E&B years back and, for the price, they
were pretty decent. You can't get your old ones recovered for the price
of new. Secret of caring for the vinyl is protect them from exposure to
the sun with a cover while you're not using the boat.

| Thanks. Good suggestion. A cover makes alot of sense, not only
for the seats but for the stringers, floatation ect. under the deck
that get saturated when it rains! I always thought that if the bilge
pump works it's noooo problem....... but since I'm now in the process
of replacing rotten stringers, soggy floatation and floor..... I'm
definately getting a boat cover!

| A friend of mine is looking into new seats for his Tracker TX17
bass boat. The seats that are on there now have a wooden base. After
looking around, most of what he is seeing uses a plastic base. Since
he fishes in Early spring he was concerned about how well these plastic
based seats will hold up (i.e. cracking under cold conditions ?).
Does anyone have any experience or input on plastic based replacement
seats, good or bad ?

Ray,
I love my plastic, I hate my wood! All my seat bases in the
Nautique are plastic (ABS, maybe, not sure...) except the driver's
seat cushion base.... Guess where the only place I get mildew is....
Yup, the driver's seat. The plastic holds up very well and doesn't
smell~!

Do you get out that often in cold conditions (i.e. <40 F.) ? What
I'm specifically looking for is how they hold up in conditions normally
considered adverse for plastic (i.e. bouncing with weight on them in cold
weather).
Also, can you give me some idea of approx. how long you've had the
plastic based seats ?

< 40 F? Not real often, maybe 4-6 times per year. <50, at least
12 times per year....

| Thanks for the input. The bouncing is from this being what I'd
guess is either a very shallow V or modified flat-bottom. If it's
choppy and/or you're running over wakes, you get bounced around a bit.

If this were in another file I moderate I'd have a field day with -1
However, I've had plastic based seats in my bass boats for 8 years. Never
a problem. They've been frozen/frosted and had ice hanging on them. I fish
from yesterday till the ice is too thick for the 20 footer to chop through.
