|  |     I don't think BenJ's note will get set hidden.
    At least I think it does not deserve it.
    Because:

        It is cute and has the appropriate subtleness to deal with the
        delicacy of the discussed issue.

    It is completely politically correct and does not show any offensive
    language.

| | In German the word pig dog ("Schweinehund") means somebody who is

         - very mean
         - fond of juicy inappropriate stories
           and tells them all the time

    My dictionary mentions the word "bastard".

| | What I always wanted to ask you Marti.....

    what does "Maybole" mean????

    In Germany we have Maibowle, that means "Maypunch" and is a
    conglomerate of fruits "strawberries yumyumyjm!!!" and Champagne
    with other alcoholities in it. Some people really mix an awful
    Maibowle: it tastes delicious, you drink a lot and the next day....
    your head doesn't fit through the door. ;)

       Maybole means that if you for some unknown reason decide to
       visit this stinkin hole that you will probably see the
       inside of the spacious Ayr causualty department.

       Word of advice Don't go to the black hole known as Maybole..

 |
| 346.22 | where is Maybole's corresponding white hole? | LJSRV1::LAMBRECHT | Life is fun, live it! | Fri Jun 23 1995 20:06 | 8 |
| | "Black holes" (singularities) are normally connected to a "white hole"
    (energy donor) via something called an "Einstein-Rosen-Bridge", after
    the 2 physicists who discovered the relation between black and white
    holes.
    So your Maybole must have a secret pathway leading to an enchanting
    bright and funny place. Have you found it yet?

| 346.24 | Got to Dunure | AYOV27::FW_TEMP01 | J Hussey - Arran's in view today | Mon Jun 26 1995 14:56 | 15 |
| | Have to say JTOBIN was being a trifle extreme in his description of Maybole.
Whilst not the world's bright spots compared with other towns in Ayrshire
its rather pleasant.
Now if you go over the hill to Dunure you'll get to see the most beautiful
view in the whole wide world overlooking the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of
Arran and the Mull of Kintyre with the (ruined) castle in the foreground.
From the beach you can also see Ailsa Craig to the south and Troon and the
coast of Ayrshire to the north.
This is the view I have every day from my lounge.
John Hussey
PS. I will have to find the Intro note now!

| 346.25 | Golf Game | VYGER::BONEM | Marti...Collect your Life! Pal! | Tue Jul 18 1995 00:28 | 15 |
| | Right anyone got any good Ideas for a holiday game. I played
    a golf game once abroad it goes like this

    Each person has a Handicap and a score card.
    Your handicap deppends on how good you can drink.
    Now say we have 6 pubs all with certian pars for each person
    okay, I will say the first pub is a par 4(Drinks) I ask the other
    person how many do you think you could drink in that pub he must
    say within the par, so he would say 3, -1 so if he does it in 4
    he is pared the pub but is 1 over.

    Can you get the geest of it now?.

    Marti
