    Well, this is the scoop... The ceremony is in Dutch - with some
    personal touches Mark is having added.  His brother will translate
    it (how else would I know when to say "JA!") and we're recording it
    so my family can hear.  (the VCR tapes there can't be played here)
    Afterwards, we're all going out to dinner somewhere to eat, drink and
    be married!  ;v))))

    funeral.  On Wednesday we were married.  We did not want to bother with 
    a long engagement.  So with her 2 kids and my 2, we had 4 under 4 years
    old.... really crazy in those days... but it worked okay.  Too busy to

    The wedding was lovely, but all in Dutch.  Mark's brother translated it

    enjoyable!  All in all, it was a lovely day!!

I'll add a little story here, too.  For the past three years, my sister's
MIL amd FIL have been asking Steve and I when the big day is going to be.  
Well, this Thanksgiving we knew it would be brought up again.  WRONG!!!  This
time, her MIL just asked us when we were going to have a baby!!!  I told her
never, she apparently didn't like that reply!

It was funny!  Guess she's finally given up on the wedding...she's been trying
to see me married for the past 12 years now.

    Hello everyone reading! 
    Today it's Mar 30 1994 and as of Mar 22nd we are able to hear from
    Immigration that they've send all necessary info the the Netherlands 
    for further processing. THe minute they've completed this there will
    be a medical exam and within 14 days I should have my visa then! ;-))))
    
    Assuming this will all be in time we now plan for me to immigrate on
    the 21st of May!!!!! (About time too!). I'll quit my job with digital
    here and try to get a job with digital US again. In the meantime my
    house here is for sale and we hope everything goes as smooth as possible 
    of course! 
    
    I am already gathering the last things to take and arranging to inform
    the various sources, insurances etc.etc. of my leaving. It is
    unbelievable when you see how many things you have to do to have
    everyone everywhere know so that things can be finished,cancelled or
    forwarded.

    Oh, yes, there really is...Andrew's was realitively easy...asked him a
    few questions and carried on some conversation with him to test his
    sanity...but the form that they give you to bring in to the medical
    examination covers everything from sexual deviations to
    multiple-personality disorders.
    
    But, we took it in good humor and I told Andrew the same thing...just
    DON'T act normal and we'll be fine!  :-)))

    recollect correctly, was a '50s/'60s movie that starred Paul Newman
    ..wasn't it??
    
    On the other hand, we Aussies affectionately refer to a most famous man
    whose name was John Flynn, or as he was better known.. "Flynn of the
    Inland". He was the founder of Australia's "Royal Flying Doctor
    Service" ... a service whereby medical aid is provided to remote
    outback properties to this very day.

    Hi everyone!!!!! *big grinn* !!! welllllllll.....t. is here!!! as you
    knew by now! I'll break down the various things we did sofar! ;-)
    
    I picked up t. at Schiphol airport (=Amsterdam!)! I took my dads car
    because I stopped paying the road taxes since I've sold my car already
    and will be giving it to the new owner when I leave! No sence making 
    the dutch tax-pot any fuller anymore! hahahaha
    I was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to early *of course* *grinn* and after 1.5 hours
    t. came through the door!!!! That lovely look in her eyes and a tear 
    of joy!!!! What a great moment that was!!!! I had gotten her a big
    bunch of kinda pink/reddish colored roses! she loved them! ;-) I had 
    taken them in a small bucket in the car so they wouldn't fall! 
    The sun was out for a change???? and we drove to a little village by
    the river the Waal called "Heusden" this village is totally renovated
    and is surounded by a huge city wall. It has a cute little harbour and
    2 windmills and a genuin pull bridge of several hundred years old! 2 
    old canons are placed on the wall overlooking the river! THe streets
    are paved using (cobbles?) they are kinda square blocks of slippery 
    rock which we call "kinderkoppen" (=childrensheads) hehehehe! what's in
    a name??? This was all last Saturday!!! We went to my dad to swap cars
    again and had a beer or 2 with them to celebrate t.'s return! After
    dinner we went to my best buddy Gerard and his girlfriend Manuella!
    They expected "ME" and I never told them t. was coming! THAT look on
    their face when t. was standing in the door! (and I was hiding!!!!) 
    we had a grant evening and returned early! (t's jetlag!) 
    
        Sunday.... The weather was great again!! We started slow!!!! A
    super breakfast (I made) and we enjoyed the day by doing little things
    (no details necessary here I guess!) ;-))))))) 
    
        Monday! Super weather and I took t. to the west once again! We went 
    to the "kitchenhof" where they expose all varieties of tulips and other
    flowers to the public in spring!!! good timing this was!!! It still is
    spring here and with about 70 to 80F we couldn't complain! ;-) t. was
    walking around acting like a chinese!!! she was taking pictures of
    everything! hahahaha! (NOT everything Moo! ;-))))))) 
    It was wonderful and we goty to spend money bigtime! boy! the prices
    you pay for a drink there???? sjeez! a total rip off! hehehehe Since
    this hof is close to the sea we went to (listen to this!) 
    "Noordwijk bij zee" hahahaha meaning by sea! We found a beach bar and 
    sat in open air behind a glass wall on a terras! Lots of topless is 
    extremely normal on the dutch beaches and we were joking a lot over
    that!!!!! hahahaha (NO! she didn't! hahahaha) ;-)))) After several 
    hours we drove to my buddy Piet who has shipped my belongings with 
    a magnificant discount for us since he is the managing director of
    Europe "Franklin Mint"! He took us out for dinner and boy did we
    have a good dinner!!!! At around 9 we drove home once again and were 
    pooped when finally home again! 
    
    Tuesday we went to do the groceries and prepared a super barbeque 
    for my mom also! (we are staying at her place!) She loved it and all
    meat was prepared fantasticly! Nice and juicy!! hmmmmmm! Lots of
    veggies and plenty of drinks!! hahaha! 
    
    I now know that my favourite beer "Bavaria" can be found in the US 
    under the name "Swinkels"!!! Anyone seen it there???? 
    
    Wednesday we were lazy all day and didn't do much! we rented some
    movies, wrote some postcards, went through a lot of TFSO documentation
    and decided on what conditions we want to be insured and all! *Bleack*
    When we got that outta the way we did nothing!!! hahahaha! Lazy, lazy, 
    and more lazy!!! ;-)))))))))
    
        Thursday, yesterday! We went to my house and got everything that we
    thought would be nice for friends and loaded my car in such a way that 
    it was packed to the ceiling!!!! We ended up with my stuffed Haron
    sitting between the both of us and knotting (sp?) when ever I had to
    slow down!! hahahaha What a silly look that was!!! It's head coming
    forward every time! hahahaha! (Just for the record...I never shot or
    killed an animal!!!, This one was found by friends in winter! It had
    died of frost!) It used to be a hobby when 16 or so to get animals
    stuffed! I don't want them anymore but my mother said she would find 
    a kid for them! ;-)))))) 
    I mowed ther lawn and t. liked the garden very much! She sais that 
    I can let my imagination loose on our garden in Cumming too! ;-))))))
    
    Then last night, the realastate guys called and said they couldn't
    handle all the couples coming to see the house! I asked for K$ 70 and
    they said they sold it for K$ 78.7 !!!! This is TERRIFIC news you can
    imagine! ;-)))) So we pulled out a bottle of the finest french wine
    a "Medoc 1989" and enjoyed our good fortune!!!! 
    
    so much for a terrific week sofar! ;-))))))))
    
    We have lots of things planned for yet to be undertaken and I will
    keep you posted! ;-))))) Too bad it is raining today, but t. and my 
    mother would go see the royal palace "the LOO" today??? with the rain
    they might postpone this visit?

    Hello everyone! A quick summary of what we did and how things are
    going!!!!
    
    Theresa is back home and called last night (here!) that she had arrived
    safely and is spending the night at her parents. She had a grant time
    and we did plenty of sightseeing. Sadly the US sent my papars to the
    wrong address which resulted in me getting new forms from Amsterdam.
    We now are looking at a period of between 8 and 10 weeks before I 
    finally have my visa! It'll cost me an extra $300,- to receive it.
    
    Theresa will be applying for jobs as of today and I will be here during
    the days now only. I'm giving back my modem tomorrow! No unpaid work
    from me anymore! I'll hopefully be with Theresa on my birthday being
    July 31st and if not I'll ask Chico for his guns and pistols and some
    dynamite! ;-))))
    
    I hope that all of you truely understand how much Theresa misses ya'll!
    If at any time you see a chance of sending a postcard or mail to her,
    then I'm sure she will realy appreciate it! Of most of you we *do* have
    the addresses and if not then please give it to us so we can send
    a postcard or letter now and then to stay in touch!

    and friends there on December 10th (sat.!) Exactly a year after we got 
    married here in the Netherlands, last December 9th 1993!

    marriage and party! The most beautiful day ever!!!! 
    My mother is coming November 1 till December the 11th so she will be
    on our wedding party too! ;-))))

    Theresa is thrilled! She can't wait! and she put some "Killians" on ice 
    for me when I arrive in tropical temperatures being around the 90's!
    ;-))))))))) Mom and dad will be there when I arrive and so will one of
    the brothers! ;-))) Boy, I can't wait till next Sunday!

   Hiiiiiii! It's Mark himself typing from our friends home!!!

   Here is an update of how Theresa and I are doing!

   I've been jobhunting since June and funny enough didn't find anything I 
liked or that paid enough!!! hehehe Theresa is working with ADP (payroll
software company!) as support specialist with is going so so because she has
to put in a lot of hours! ;-(  I am waiting to hear ( after a second    
interview) if I got a job with CAPS logistics as project mgr.
A very very good job and company too! 9M$ revenue with only 60 people 
working there! When I get the job our financial position with be extremely 
good from there on!!! We *WILL* work on baby's from there on!!! I am still
practising a lot though! hahahaha
We got a lot of Christmascards from ya'll too! Thanks! 
My mother was here for a period of 6 weeks and now wants to move here too!!!
It'll be a few years before she will though! ;-))))) 
The other day Jerry, who owns this account... gave me a sign that said
"PARKING FOR DUTCH ONLY....Others will be towed!!!!!" HAHAHAHA
I love it!!! 
Life here in Geogia is wonderfull and the weather has been very mild until
now! ;-)))))) I got a trailor for my tractor lawnmower and am driving 
around in my GMC Full size pickup truck! I JUST LOVE THAT MACHINE!!!!
It's fully loaded and the cruise control is just a super invention!
Now and then when I get the chance I drive south to Florida to a village
called APILICHACOLA or somethin' where a friend of ours has a house by the beach
I am fixing up the house and enjoy Florida while there! Lots of mosquito's 
there though.

Okay enough for now! I gotta check mail again!

    We're gearing up for the Olympics down here in a big way.  They've

    visitors, to and from the airport.  We have a few of Mark's friends
    from NL visiting us then also, so I can't offer our guest bedroom!

    I'm hanging a new screen door for her! :-)
    T and I are doing great. We are in the process of bying +2 acres of
    land on top of a hill with a fourty mile view with Lake lanier in the
    middle in the valley! Just spectacular property. We'll start building
    our house as sooon as the land is paid for which should be close to a
    year from now. It'll be a dutch/european designed house.... GOOD
    quality!!!! :-))))))) about 3200 sq.ft.  OOOOO boy, What a lot of time
    will be needed to build that! T works for Amoco polymers as a secretary
    and loves it! :-)  I am a succesful HANDYMAN with my own company
    "MARK'S HANDY SERVICE" :-) doing great too. I'm making more now than
    ever made at dec! :-))))) And ofcourse a bnrand new GMC truck (extended
    cab) and a camper top in the same green metalic! :-)))) 
    Hope ya'll are doing fine! Love from the both of us to everyone out
    there that still remembers us!
