Citing "noise" and "large crowds", the MDC has decided to cancel the
WFNX New Music Series at the Hatch Shell this year (while keeping
the fireworks-laden 4th of July show and the uncrowded WODS Oldies
shows despite the fact that the Oldies shows draw approximately
3 times the number of people as the WFNX shows). The ACLU is
now involved. Gov. Weld's office can be reached at 617-727-3600.
